This course leads to the licence-linked qualification required for individuals looking to apply for an SIA CCTV Operator licence (Public Space Surveillance). It combines essential legal theory with hands-on practical training in operating camera equipment, tracking incidents and correctly handling evidential data to comply with strict UK data protection laws. Delivered at our accredited training centre in Brentwood, Essex, this course prepares you to work in security control rooms. Please Note: Successfully completing the qualification does not automatically guarantee the issue or renewal of an SIA licence. SIA licence applications and renewals remain subject to the Security Industry Authority's eligibility and licensing requirements. Duration: 3 Days in classroom plus pre-course learning from home Timings: 09:00 – 18:00 Location: Close Protection Academy, Brentwood Assessment: E-assessments (multiple-choice questions) and practical skills assessments, with immediate results for e-assessments and re-assessment opportunities where permitted. Who Is This Course For? Individuals looking to start a career in security control rooms or those seeking to add a versatile new licence to their existing security portfolio. On Successful Completion: Learners who successfully complete all required assessments will be awarded the Highfield Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) (RQF).
